Development and finance practitioner with nearly 30 years’ experience as a banker, manager and consultant, and with a passion for sustainability and inclusive growth.
Spearheading the establishment of Tun Consult in 2014, she originated and executed 70+ complex and impactful transactions with leading private businesses, international investors, financial institutions, government organisations, and multilateral development institutions including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP and GIZ.
Tunga has built deep client relationships globally, earning a reputation as a thought leader and subject matter expert. With the distinction of being one of only few CFA Charterholders from Mongolia and an experienced development consultant, she has consistently delivered exceptional results and won extensive repeat business.
Previously, Tunga was the Program manager at Mongolia’s first ever boutique consulting firm, ultimately becoming CEO, where she led the team through various engagements for multilateral development organisations such as he World Bank, EBRD, IFAD, DFID, GIZ, KfW and World Vision.
Earlier in her career, Tunga worked for the EU, Central Bank of Mongolia and the largest bank in Mongolia in managerial roles.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Assessment of SME financing landscape, surveys and interviews with financial institutions, SMEs and relevant government agencies; identification of demand and supply gaps; recommendations on further actions by GIZ for strengthening policy dialogue with the stakeholders
